Sunday Best: Power to the girls!
I have been volunteering with a female youth group through my church for the past year, and it’s been an amazing experience.
To say these girls are hardworking is an understatement! They are between the ages of 12 – 18, are faced with the challenges of growing up in a digital age, have loads of homework from high school, participate in many hobbies and interests outside of school, and attend the Church youth group weekly. They’re beautiful young women, and they inspire and teach me about strength, commitment and balance and (hopefully) keep me young!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, nothing makes me feel better than service to others and charity, it’s such a great thing to do to for health and wellbeing! Working with the youth is one of my many passions and I’m thankful for the opportunity to be a part of their lives!
