Winter Wonderland

Melbourne can get icy cold during winter, but in the city it’s never quite cold enough to enjoy any snow or traditional winter activities (not yet anyway – climate change may change that)!

Federation square came up with the perfect solution so that winter lovers can basque in winters glory and ice skate till their hearts are content!

Overlooking the Yarra and with the picturesque art centre visible from the rink, River Rink is a perfect location and a fantastic night (or day) out for friends, dates and family!

The Yarra riverbed has been turned into a little winter village with the River Rink area equipped with scrumptious food trucks and thirst quenching bevs, blasting awesome tunes!

After having a ball on Saturday night, I’m hoping to lace up some skates and get on the ice again before closing date.
