2017 Roundup – Life lessons and Milestones
My husband and I bought a new house which I can’t wait to furnish. Stay tuned for home décor overload next year!
Study buddy
I started a new degree at university which I am absolutely loving. It’s a four-year degree and by February I will almost be half way (with credits from my prior studies)!
Video killed the radio star
After studying public relations, I worked my way into a content creation and social media role within the beauty industry which I absolutely adore and this year I worked on some huge film projects with fantastic bloggers, influencers and beauty experts! I’m so grateful for the opportunities I have been given professionally and can see how my hard work and studies have paid off.
Dog strides
My sister and I launched Aff and Co. as a wholesaler and are now stocked in boutique retailers!
Walk the line
As a Young Women’s councillor for the LDS church I’ve had so many brilliant experiences with the youth. The pinnacle of it all was our 53kms walk from our chapel to the Temple. I loved being able to do this (with no training!), it was an experience I will remember forever.
Snow bunny
My husband and I love travelling both locally and overseas however usually we stick to snorkelling or bushwalking. This year we took it the next level and learnt to ski! Needless to say, we weren’t very good and may not try again for a few years…
Cruisin together
My usual means of travel is either plane or road tripping so cruising to the pacific islands was certainly a welcome change! With so much to do and the ease of travel, cruising is now my new favourite way to travel.
Sunset sails
My friends and family know I am obsessed with the beach. I have the fondest memories growing of heading to Torquay every summer with my family, my favourite movie growing up was The Little Mermaid, and I carried my Ariel doll everywhere with me. Living next to the beach was a given in my adult life, as was sunset sailing on the gold coast while holidaying in Queensland. Picturesque views and a fabulous date night!
Wisdom be gone
I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed in the surgeon’s chair which left me eating custard and a head the size of a microwave! While it wasn’t fun it is a milestone in adult life.
Phew! That is some of my year in a nutshell and now I’m looking forward to what 2018 will bring!
Best wishes to all you gorgeous people out there for the new year! May you work towards your dreams and achieve your goals! Lets make it a safe, happy and healthy new year.
